Posted Date: 04/27/26 (03:02 PM)

The Whitehall Junior Class is preparing for an exciting and memorable Prom Week, themed “Starry Week,” taking place May 4–10. The week will feature a variety of themed dress-up days and activities designed to build school spirit and celebrate the Class of 2027 leading up to prom night.

The week begins on Monday with “Van Gogh’s Starry Night Day,” where students will wear class-specific colors: seniors in black, juniors in blue, sophomores in gold or yellow, and freshmen in white. Tuesday will feature “Star-Studded Day,” encouraging students to dress as their favorite famous figures.

On Wednesday, students will take part in “Galaxy Day” with space-themed attire. Thursday’s “Moonlight Masquerade Day” invites students to dress in formal wear and Venetian masks, with a prom rehearsal scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

The week concludes on Friday with “Comfy Constellation Day,” giving students the opportunity to wear pajamas. All prom bags must be submitted to the library by 2:00 p.m. that day.

Prom festivities will take place on Saturday, May 9, beginning with photos at the park at 3:00 p.m., followed by the Grand March in the high school auditorium at 5:00 p.m. Students will then travel to The Queensbury Hotel for the prom from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., before heading to The Fun Spot for a post-prom celebration from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. The group is expected to return to the high school at approximately 2:45 a.m.
