Important Message from Superintendent Dee

To the Whitehall Community;

It is with the deepest regret that I must share the following information. This

morning, one of our students, Airyonna Jabot was tragically killed in a fire at

her home. Airyonna and her family I am sure, will be in our thoughts and

prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Please know that the Whitehall School Community will be here to support

Airyonna's family in any way that they may need. It is also important that we

come together as a community to support our student body and Staff as they

cope with this terrible loss. In an effort to provide necessary support, the

District will have Mental Health counselors available at both buildings

throughout the upcoming week; and as long as necessary thereafter to

support the needs of our student body. I would encourage families to take

advantage of this support if your children are struggling with this news. Please

reach out to the school if you believe that your child requires additional

support during these difficult times.

I would encourage anyone with additional needs or concerns to contact the

school. We will help in any way that we can as we come together as a

community to heal.
